Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position in Petoskey, MI, requiring 2+ years of OR experience and an active Michigan RN license.
Details
- Hospital-based Operating Room (OR) setting serving a full spectrum of surgical specialties, including general elective and critical/life-saving procedures
- Surgical specialties include general, orthopedic, endovascular, urology, and OB procedures
- Schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts (6:45am–5:15pm) Monday–Friday with one random non-consecutive day off per week
- On-call requirement of one weeknight per week from 7pm–11pm
- On-call requirement of one weekend per month, rotating between day shift call (Saturday–Sunday, 7am–7pm) and night shift call (Friday–Sunday, 7pm–7am)
- Holiday coverage is required unless contracted time off is approved in advance
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active Michigan RN license required; LARA and Nursys verification required
- Current BLS certification (AHA) required
- Minimum 2 years of RN OR experience required
- Skills checklist completed within the past year required for consideration
- Current full-time employees of McLaren Health System are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment
Additional Information
- Experience in orthopedic, general, endovascular, urology, and/or OB surgical specialties is preferred
- A strict 3-strike attendance policy is in effect — three instances of an unexcused absence or arriving more than 20 minutes late will result in immediate termination; exceptions may be made for documented communicable illness or hospitalization
- No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested for the duration of the contract
- References are not required for this position
