Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position in Robbinsdale, MN, requiring fresh open heart surgery experience and Epic proficiency.

• CVICU setting within a hospital environment
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Experience with fresh open heart surgery patients is central to this role
• Cardiac rhythm interpretation required; experience with Impella and balloon pumps preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• 13-week contract with 12-hour rotating shifts
• 60 hours per 2-week pay period
• Every 3rd weekend required
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC) required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Experience with fresh open heart surgery patients required
• Cardiac rhythm interpretation skills required
• Adult and geriatric population experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two supervisory references with dates of employment required for consideration
• Current skills checklist (within the past year), pertinent to CVICU specialty, required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include holistic patient and family care, nursing assessment, diagnosis, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Coordinates care across disciplines and delegates tasks to appropriate care team members
• Participates in shared decision-making for nursing practice and contributes to improving care standards
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application, as RTO requests after submission may not be honored
• Experience with Impella and balloon pumps is preferred but not required
