Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Saginaw, MI, requiring Neuro PCU experience and an active Michigan RN license.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
• Neurological PCU patient population
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:15 AM (12-hour shifts)
• 36 hours per week
• Floating required to other PCU and Med/Surg floors as needed
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active Michigan (MI) RN license required — must reflect Active status on LARA and/or Nursys
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Active NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Neuro PCU experience required
• Recent travel nursing work history highly preferred
• 2 supervisory reference forms completed within the last 2 years required for consideration
• Current skills checklist (within the last year, specific to PCU) required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include ongoing patient assessment, medication administration, treatments, patient education, and responding to alarms and call lights
• Functions as a team leader and resource, delegating and providing direction to support staff
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to establish and evaluate patient goals and outcomes
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and hospital-specific policies
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are eligible, but may only complete one 13-week contract at this facility
• No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested for this assignment
