Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Saginaw, MI, requiring Neuro PCU experience and an active Michigan RN license.
Details
- Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
- Neurological PCU patient population
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:15 AM (12-hour shifts)
- 36 hours per week
- Floating required to other PCU and Med/Surg floors as needed
- Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
- No on-call responsibilities
Requirements
- Active Michigan (MI) RN license required — must reflect Active status on LARA and/or Nursys
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Active NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Neuro PCU experience required
- Recent travel nursing work history highly preferred
- 2 supervisory reference forms completed within the last 2 years required for consideration
- Current skills checklist (within the last year, specific to PCU) required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include ongoing patient assessment, medication administration, treatments, patient education, and responding to alarms and call lights
- Functions as a team leader and resource, delegating and providing direction to support staff
- Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to establish and evaluate patient goals and outcomes
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and hospital-specific policies
- Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are eligible, but may only complete one 13-week contract at this facility
- No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested for this assignment
