Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist for an acute care night shift position requiring ARRT certification and a minimum of 1 year of radiology experience.
Details
- Acute care hospital radiology setting performing diagnostic imaging procedures
- Modality focus is general radiography (X-ray), with additional procedures including fluoroscopy, C-arm in the OR, trauma radiography, and portable radiography
- Patient populations served include NICU, CCU, and ED patients
- Overnight shift schedule on a week-on/week-off rotation
- 36 hours per week at 0.9 FTE
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of radiology experience (clinical internship experience may be considered)
- Graduate of a CAHEA-accredited Radiology program or equivalent
- Active ARRT (R) certification required
- Current BLS (AHA) certification required
- Montana Radiology Technologist license required if applicable
- Must demonstrate or develop competency in fluoroscopic/C-arm procedures in the OR, trauma radiography, and portable radiography within 6 months
- Must reside at least 90 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for 8 or more hours during extended shifts
Additional Information
- Performs radiographic exams ordered by healthcare providers, including fluoroscopic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Assists with fluoroscopically guided PICC placements alongside radiology nursing staff
- Performs US-guided paracentesis, thoracentesis, and arthrocentesis alongside radiology providers
- Performs C-arm fluoroscopy in the OR as requested by surgeons
- Responsible for documentation required for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives and educates radiology students, new hires, and fellow techs on relevant procedures
- Role may involve on-call availability to respond to organizational and patient needs
- Position may require working beyond standard hours, including weekends
- COVID-19 vaccination is not required for this position
