Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Marshalltown, IA, requiring at least 24 months of recent ER experience, prior travel experience, and Epic proficiency.

Details

• 16-bed Emergency Department unit in a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Critical drips administered on this unit
• Epic EMR experience required
• Night shift, 7p–7a, 36 hrs/week
• Every 3rd weekend required, including holiday rotation
• No on-call responsibilities
• No blocked scheduling or 48-hour shift weeks

Requirements

• Active IA RN license or compact/multi-state RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 24 months of current, recent ED/Emergency Department experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Required certifications (all must be active): BLS (AHA/ARC), ACLS (AHA/ARC), PALS (AHA/ARC), and TNCC
• De-escalation certification (SAMA, MAB, MOAB, or CPI) preferred; can be obtained during onboarding
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred; can be obtained during onboarding
• Driver's license required
• Supervisory performance evaluation or professional reference from within the past 2 years required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible

Additional Information

• Navy, black, or gray solid-color scrub tops and bottoms required
• Must be available to work 1–2 of the following summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day
• Candidates who have been employed by the health system as an FTE or PRN (including float pool) within the past 12 months are not eligible, regardless of which facility within the system they worked at
• First-time travelers are not eligible; prior travel experience is required
