Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Oncology Infusion RN for a 13-week travel contract in Nashville, TN, requiring ONS Chemotherapy Certification and at least 2 years of oncology experience.
Details
- Outpatient Oncology Infusion Clinic setting with 16 infusion chairs
- GynOnc Infusion unit with a 4:1 patient-to-chair ratio
- Chemotherapy administration, IV hydration, electrolyte repletion, and lab draws performed on unit
- Port-A-Cath access using sterile technique and peripheral venous access required
- Alaris Pumps used for infusion delivery
- Documentation via MediTech Expanse
- Monday through Friday schedule with no weekend or major holiday shifts
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- May float to the TCT Infusion department (Cost Center 716) with orientation provided prior to floating
- No unit secretaries or techs available on the unit
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license — TN state license or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start)
- ONS Chemotherapy Certification required
- Minimum 2 years of recent oncology/chemotherapy infusion experience
- Experience with chemotherapy patient population required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration — Canadian SSNs not accepted
- One professional reference required (two references required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include chemotherapy administration, IV hydration, electrolyte repletion, Port-A-Cath access, peripheral IV placement, vital signs, height/weight measurement, and lab draws via central or peripheral access
- Solid-colored scrubs required in navy, lavender, pink, black, or teal
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
