Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract in a Critical Access Hospital setting, requiring a CA RN license and a minimum of 2 years of OR experience.
Details
- Critical Access Hospital (17-bed) with a Rural Health Clinic setting
- Operating Room / Perioperative unit, including circulator responsibilities
- 12-hour varied shifts
- 36 hours per week
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
- Ability to work effectively with patients, peers, physicians, and ancillary departments
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include assessing and monitoring surgical patients, maintaining a sterile field, anticipating equipment and supply needs, and adapting to changes in patient status or surgical procedure
- Coordinates with other departments and ancillary personnel to ensure patient safety and quality of care
- Demonstrates knowledge of surgical expected outcomes and anesthesia drug protocols
- On-site dorm-style housing (walking distance to hospital) may be available for an additional monthly cost, with studio and one-bedroom furnished apartment options
