Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist with a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active RRT certification for a 15-week day shift travel assignment at a medical center in Hilo, Hawaii.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting in Hilo, Hawaii
- Respiratory therapy services across adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations
- Equipment includes PB 980 and PB 840 ventilators, V60, and Para Pac Transport Vent
- Pyxis medication management system utilized
- Computerized charting system in use
- Day shift hours: 0630–1900
- Three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours)
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
- Active RRT certification required
- Current certifications: BLS/BCLS and ACLS, PALS; NRP preferred
- Active State of Hawaii Respiratory Therapist license required by start of assignment; current Hawaii license preferred, but candidates with a submitted application will be considered
- License required if applicable
- Prior completed travel assignment required; first-time travelers will not be considered
- Proof of flu vaccination or a facility-approved medical or religious exception required prior to contract start
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include continuous airway management, invasive and non-invasive ventilator management, physician consulting, CPR, and all aspects of respiratory care
- All travelers must report to Employee Health 48–72 hours prior to their assignment start date; this appointment is scheduled at the Hilo Employee Health office and attendance is mandatory
- Candidates should plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before their Monday start date in order to attend the Employee Health appointment on Friday morning
- COVID-19 vaccination required
