Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with at least 1 year of experience for a 13-week night shift contract at a short-term acute care hospital in Washington state.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital setting with 325 staffed beds
- Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics unit
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:30–07:00
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
- Floating between all facilities within the state is expected and required
- No on-call requirement
- Block scheduling is not available
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Current RRT or CRT credential required
- Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS
- Proficiency in mask fitting, Cheyne-Stokes and periodic breathing monitoring, end-tidal CO2 monitoring, and O2 saturation monitoring
- Experience with Draeger and/or Bellavista equipment preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Active professional license required if applicable
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for a travel contract
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former permanent staff of this facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront — RTO requests made after submission or offer may be denied, and failure to honor the agreed schedule could result in contract termination
- Travelers who refuse floating assignments may face termination of their contract
