Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical Neuro (Rehab) position in Rochester, NY, requiring at least 1 year of experience and competency in phlebotomy and IV placement.

Details

• Medical Surgical Neuro unit with a focus on acute rehabilitation
• Patient population includes stroke, brain injury, and spinal cord injury diagnoses
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (11:00–23:00)
• Patient ratios: 1:5 on days, 1:12 on nights
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Floating required to Med/Surg units
• Special equipment includes Hoyer Lift and Sit-to-Stand Lift
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required (pending licenses not accepted)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Acute rehab hospital experience required
• CVA (cerebrovascular accident) experience required
• Phlebotomy and IV placement competency required
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
