Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist requiring 2+ years of direct pediatric cardiac cath lab experience for a Level I Pediatric Trauma facility.

Details

  • Short-term acute care facility with Level II Trauma and Level I Pediatric Trauma designation
  • 615 staffed beds
  • Daily caseload of 7-20 cases per technologist
  • 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
  • On-call required as needed
  • No weekend requirement
  • No floating within scope or to sister facilities required
  • Uses Cerner charting system
  • Any color scrubs accepted

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of consecutive, direct pediatric cardiac cath lab experience required (non-negotiable)
  • Current ACLS and BLS certification required
  • CCI RCIS certification preferred
  • Community hospital and Level I Trauma experience preferred
  • Prior travel experience required
  • Proficient in EKG lead placement, room circulating, and maintaining a sterile field while scrubbing
  • Experience with left and right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, cardiac stent placement, and rotablator atherectomy
  • Experience with ASD closures, ECMO, Impella insertion, TAVR, and IVC filter placement preferred
  • License required if applicable

Additional Information

  • Perform procedural responsibilities including accurate patient monitoring, EKG lead placement, room circulating, and sterile field maintenance during cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Facility is smoke-free
  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
  • Local candidates are not accepted
  • Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility to qualify
  • Permanent employees must wait at least 1 year before returning to any facility within this health system as a traveler
  • RTO is not permitted under facility contracts and must be discussed directly with the manager prior to submission
  • Pass/fail EKG exam required (up to 3 attempts)
