Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a free-standing Emergency Department position requiring at least 2 years of ED experience, Epic proficiency, and night shift availability.

Details

• Free-standing ED with no RT or pharmacy on site — RN performs RT and pharmacy roles
• 24-bed ED with approximately 15% pediatric patient volume
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Procedures include procedural sedation, RSI, cardioversion/defibrillation, trach care, feeding tube management, PICC line care, port-a-cath and vascular device access, drain management, triple lumen catheter care, rapid infuser, and syringe pump use
• Epic EMR experience required
• Floating between all facilities within the state is expected — refusal to float may result in assignment termination

Requirements

• Active WA RN license or valid compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience required
• Experienced travelers preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Former permanent staff of any Swedish facility must have been separated for at least 3 months before returning as a traveler, and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Former permanent staff of non-Swedish Providence facilities are eligible for a travel contract after a 3-month separation
• Minimal RTO is expected for this position; excessive time-off requests may impact eligibility
• All RTO requests must be disclosed at the time of submission — post-offer RTO requests are subject to denial
