Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a free-standing ED in Washington state, requiring 2 years of ED experience and the ability to perform RT and pharmacy support roles.
Details
- Free-standing ED with no respiratory therapy or pharmacy on-site — RN performs RT and pharmacy support roles
- 24-bed emergency department with approximately 15% pediatric patient volume
- Procedures include procedural sedation and RSI (Rapid Sequence Intubation)
- Skills utilized include drain management, Port-A-Cath/vascular device access and care, triple lumen catheter, syringe pumps, and rapid infuser
- Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (11:00–23:30)
- Epic EMR experience required
- Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within Washington state
Requirements
- Active WA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of emergency department nursing experience required
- Experienced travelers preferred
- Required clinical skills: trach care, cardioversion/defibrillation, breathing treatments, feeding tube management, PICC line care, and rapid infuser operation
- Epic EMR experience required
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Former permanent staff of any Swedish facility must have been separated for at least 3 months and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Former permanent staff of non-Swedish Providence facilities are eligible after a 3-month separation period
- Floating between all facilities within Washington state is mandatory — refusal to float may result in assignment termination
- Minimal RTO is expected for this position; limited time-off requests may be considered but excessive RTO may impact eligibility
- All requested time off must be disclosed prior to submission — post-offer RTO requests may be denied
