Description
American Traveler is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with 2+ years of experience for a night shift travel assignment at an acute care hospital in Tucson, AZ.
Details
- Respiratory Therapy department in an acute care hospital setting in Tucson, AZ
- Serves both inpatient and outpatient populations, including ICU, general floors, ED, NICU, and Peds
- Night shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (3x12)
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Current CRT credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Respiratory Therapy
- Experience in ICU, general floors, and ED required; some NICU and Peds exposure required at minimum to cover ED cases
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications required; no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- License required if applicable
- A valid driver's license is required for consideration
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include assisting physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures, delivery of medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas, airway maintenance, ventilator management, intubations, and blood gas analysis
- Follows protocols approved by the medical staff and department policies to deliver timely diagnostic and therapeutic services
- RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
- Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
