Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry unit position requiring a minimum of 2 years of MS/Tele experience and an active WV or compact RN license.

Details

• Inpatient telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6 (may fluctuate with census)
• Meditech EMR
• Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, on a rotating 36/48-hour schedule (alternating 3x12 and 4x12 weeks)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within scope of practice
• Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated

Requirements

• Active WV or compact RN license required and must be in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of current Med/Surg Telemetry (MS/Tele) experience required
• Valid Driver's License with address matching permanent address required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration: at least one Charge Nurse or higher and one supervisor, both completed within the last year
• Middle name (or confirmed absence of one) required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• Orientation is held on a bi-weekly basis
• Travelers who have worked within the system for one year must take a minimum 6-month break before being eligible to return
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be considered; RTO must be submitted upfront with no changes accepted after submission
• Must be willing to work either a major or minor holiday each contract
• Travel pairs are accepted on a limited basis; pairs will not be placed on the same shift or unit
• Any license or background check issues must be disclosed upfront
