Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR Circulator RN for a day shift position in Bakersfield, CA, requiring robotic surgery experience including Da Vinci and Mako systems.

Details

• OR Circulator role at a specialty surgical hospital with potential floating to a main campus location approximately 2 miles away
• Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts per week
• Specialties include general surgery, orthopedic spine (anterior and posterior), and robotic-assisted procedures
• Da Vinci robot (general surgery) and Mako robotic system (knees and hips) are used in this unit
• On-call required one full week (Monday–Sunday) per rotation, with schedule determined monthly
• Weekend call is light, typically consisting of one or two cases
• When census is low, travelers may be reassigned to float to the main campus to function as a room runner or breaker

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association) required
• Minimum 3 years of OR nursing experience required
• Hands-on experience with Da Vinci robotic surgery (general) required
• Hands-on experience with Mako robotic system for knee and hip procedures required
• Experience in orthopedic spine surgery, including anterior and posterior approaches, required
• Must have worked in the OR specialty within the last 3 months
• Active, unrestricted RN license with no prior license violations
• Two supervisory references required: one from within the past year and one from within the past two years

Additional Information

• Circulator responsibilities include running the OR, serving as a breaker, and supporting robotic-assisted surgical cases
• RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer for this position — requests exceeding 5 days will result in automatic disqualification
