Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position in Austin, TX, requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and certifications including EFM, ACLS, BLS, and NRP.

Details

• Located on the 4th floor Labor & Delivery unit of a hospital in Austin, TX
• 32-bed L&D unit with a staff of approximately 150
• Patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2, supported by a charge nurse and co-charge nurse on each shift
• Procedures performed include SVD, cerclages, C-sections, and TOLAC
• Equipment used includes Novii, JADA, Fetal Pillow, IUPC, FSE, Toco, and ultrasound
• EMR: Meditech
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Alternating weekends required
• No on-call requirements
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP (Advanced 9th Edition, AAP card), STABLE, and intermediate or advanced AWHONN fetal monitoring (or NCCEFM)
• SVE competency and C-section circulation experience required
• Minimum 2 years of recent L&D nursing experience required
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Internal monitor placement competency is preferred
• Prior HCA assignment or employment is preferred
• Experience in a high-volume Level IV L&D unit is preferred
• Navy blue scrubs required; solid blue, black, or grey sweatshirts only — t-shirts are not acceptable
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
• All certifications must remain active through at least the first 30 days of the assignment start date
