Description
American Traveler seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC-SLP certification and 3+ years of experience for an acute care hospital SLP position requiring independent Modified Barium Swallow Study performance.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting with 212 staffed beds
- Hybrid inpatient and outpatient caseload, typically 1–3 adult outpatient cases per day with the remainder in acute hospital
- Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00am to 4:30pm (5x8-hour shifts)
- No call or weekend coverage required
- Documents Epic EMR; Epic experience required
- Free on-site parking available
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility should inquire about local rates
Requirements
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Active, unrestricted state SLP license (license required if applicable); pending licenses are not accepted
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an SLP; must be able to practice independently
- Proficiency with Epic EMR required
- Ability to independently perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS)
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; requests made after submission or offer may be denied
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Scrub color for this role is not specified; RN scrub color is navy blue for reference
