Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with experience in LHC, PCI, RHC, peripheral procedures, and advanced cardiac support devices for a 13-week contract in a high-volume, 4-lab cardiac catheterization unit.

Details

  • Work in a cardiac cath lab with 4 procedure rooms operating Monday through Friday
  • Procedures include coronary angios/PCIs, CTOs, peripheral vascular, EP studies with possible ablations, pacemakers, BIV devices, TAVRs, MitraClips, Watchman/Amulet, and mitral valve procedures
  • Daily caseload of 25–30 cases across 4 labs
  • 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Call requirement of 2–3 call shifts per week with 1–2 call weekends per 6-week period
  • Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

  • Current BLS and ACLS required
  • Must hold either RCIS or ARRT certification; if ARRT, a valid state license is also required — license required if applicable
  • Minimum experience required in LHC, LHC PCI, RHC, peripheral procedures, Impella, intra-aortic balloon pump, and Rotablator
  • Cardiac cath lab procedure experience required: balloon angioplasty, PCI, stents, thrombectomy, Impella insertion, left and right heart catheterization, and Rotablader
  • EKG skills required: obtaining vitals, 12-lead EKG, rhythm interpretation, and outpatient monitoring
  • EP procedure experience required: cardioversion
  • General cath lab skills required: scrubbing, monitoring, and EKG
  • Driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Preferred skills include circulation, IV start, phlebotomy, Watchman procedures, septal closure, ablations, pacemaker/defibrillator device placement, sinus node rhythm interpretation, and pacemaker insertion
  • Scrubs are provided by the facility
  • Flu vaccine is required during flu season (October 1 – March 31); religious or medical exemptions must comply with CMS guidelines
  • This is a smoke- and nicotine-free facility
  • Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed prior to acceptance of an offer; no RTO will be approved after offer
