Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Electrophysiology (EP) Lab position at an acute care teaching hospital, requiring EP lab experience, scrub experience, and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Work setting is an EP Lab within a large acute care teaching hospital featuring six state-of-the-art cath labs performing advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures annually
- Facility holds American College of Cardiology accreditation for PCI procedures and is supported by adjacent cardiac surgery and hybrid ORs
- Schedule is 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, with rotating late shifts when cases extend into the evening
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- EP lab closes on facility holidays
- Epic EMR experience is required
Requirements
- Active VA or Compact RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
- EP lab experience required
- Scrub experience required
- Proficiency with EP mapping required
- Skills required include sterile technique, EKG lead placement, and dysrhythmia recognition and interpretation
- Experience with fluoroscopy, Siemens, ultrasound, Philips, Carto Ensite, and Cardiolab systems required
- Strong cardiac background required
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
- Must reside a minimum of 50 miles from the facility per address on driver's license
Additional Information
- Level I Trauma Center, Magnet-designated, and certified stroke center
- All staff rotate responsibility for staying late when cases extend into the evening
- Must be available to work one holiday per 13-week contract, rotated with staff
- Facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week period
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are not accepted; applicants must live at least 50 miles from the facility
