Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry position requiring at least 2 years of interventional cardiac experience, Epic proficiency, and a WA or compact RN license.
Details
- Interventional cardiac/procedure unit in a hospital setting
- Patient population includes pre/post invasive and diagnostic procedures, cardioversion, pre/post angiogram, elective PCI, EP patients (ablation, lead placement, pacer placement), pre-TAVR, Mitral Clip, and same-day post-op structural heart recovery (TAVR, etc.)
- Procedures performed include TEE, cardioversion/defibrillation, procedure sedation, blood/blood products administration, epicardial pacer management, and sheath removal
- Medications managed include heparin and insulin drips
- Telemetry interpretation and dysrhythmia management are core functions of the role
- Patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:3
- Day shift, 3x10-hour shifts, 11:00–21:30
- No weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements
- Floating required to like units within the state; flexibility is essential
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active WA RN license or valid compact RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of interventional cardiac nursing experience required
- Strong IV skills and sheath pull experience required
- Experience with stable drips and dysrhythmia interpretation and management required
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- A minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Former permanent staff of any Swedish facility must have been separated for at least 3 months and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Former permanent staff of non-Swedish Providence facilities are eligible with at least a 3-month separation
- Local candidates are accepted
- Minimal RTO is strongly preferred; excessive RTO requests may impact placement
- All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
