Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 1 year of experience for a night shift position at an adult trauma facility serving the Emergency Department and Special Care Nursery.

Details

• Adult Level III Trauma hospital with 120 staffed beds
• Respiratory therapy services provided in the Emergency Department and Special Care Nursery
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts, 18:30–07:00
• Every 3rd weekend required
• Charting performed in Epic
• No floating required
• No on-call required
• Ceil blue scrubs required

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience required
• Current RRT credential required
• Active state license required if applicable
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates must reside more than 70 miles from the facility to be eligible
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy services to patients in the Emergency Department and Special Care Nursery — PICU/NICU experience is not required, but NRP and PALS are required to ensure competency in emergency situations
• Travelers must be clean-shaven to achieve a proper mask seal for fit testing; CAPRs and PAPRs are not provided and personal PAPRs or CAPRs are not permitted — failure to comply will result in cancellation
• RTO should be requested as early as possible; travelers may be required to participate in holiday and weekend rotations
• Block schedule requests are at manager's discretion
• No parking fees for employee parking
