Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a fast-paced MS/Tele ER Border night shift position requiring 2 years of experience and active MD or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work setting is a hospital MS/Tele unit functioning as an ER border unit — a fast-paced, high-volume environment providing ED, MS/T, and IMC border patient care
• Patient population includes a wide variety of complex ED admission diagnoses
• Average daily census ranges from a minimum of 10 borders up to 40 borders, across 46 rooms
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6
• Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts (19:30–08:00)
• Every other weekend is required
• Holiday coverage is required as shifts fall on the schedule
• Floating is required between ED borders, extenders to MS/T, and IMC units within specialty and scope
• No pre-scheduled on-call shifts required

Requirements

• Active RN license for the state of Maryland (MD) or a compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and CPI
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience in a high-acuity, fast-paced setting consistent with MS/Tele, ED border, or IMC patient care is expected given the role

• This is a border role requiring care of ED, MS/Tele, and IMC patients within the nurse's scope of practice
