Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an OR (Operating Room) position at an acute care facility in West Virginia, requiring at least 2 years of circulating experience and a valid WV or compact RN license.

• Acute care hospital OR setting
• Surgical specialties include general surgery, podiatry, cataracts, OB/GYN, pain management, and oculoplasty
• Circulating experience is central to daily OR responsibilities
• EMR: TruBridge - Evident
• Standard shift is 8 hours, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
• Call responsibilities cover evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, approximately 6–8 call days per month
• No routine weekend or holiday shifts outside of call obligations
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active WV or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of OR circulating experience required
• BSN not required
• Driver's license copy required for consideration
• 2 professional references required: 1 supervisor reference and 1 peer or additional supervisor reference (if permanent employment within the last 12 months, one reference must be from that facility)
• Skills checklist completed within the past year required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Travelers who have previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before reapplying
• Travelers may not work within the WVU Medicine system for more than one cumulative year without a 2-year break
• Candidates may only be submitted to one WVU facility at a time
