Details
- Mixed ICU setting with 39 beds, divided into pods including MICU, SICU, CICU, and TICU — travelers would not float to the CVICU side unless experienced in that specialty

- 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week standard with 48-hour/week expectations — this is non-negotiable for this unit
- Every other weekend rotation is the goal, though not guaranteed
- No on-call requirements
- Floating is uncommon but possible to adult floors including Med/Surg or Tele with a 1:4 ratio when overstaffed
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by the South Dakota Board of Nursing or a compact license currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience excluding travel experience strongly preferred; candidates with 1.5 years of ICU experience plus significant RN experience outside of ICU may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC — candidates unwilling to obtain TNCC prior to start will not be considered
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience with IV medications including vasopressors, sedation, and paralytics; hemodynamic lines; proning; ventilator management; and telemetry monitoring
- Strong critical thinking, assessment skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced, all-critical-patient environment
- Experience with Impella, IABP, and CRRT strongly preferred
- Must reside at least 100 miles from any Monument Health facility to be eligible
- Minimum of one prior travel assignment required — first-time travelers will not be considered
- Two professional references dated within the past year required for consideration
- DOB and SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
