Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position requiring at least 2 years of experience, ACLS/BLS certifications, and proficiency with a wide range of cardiac and interventional procedures and equipment.

Details

Work in the Cath Lab department of a hospital setting
Performs a broad range of cardiac and interventional procedures including Watchman procedures, balloon angioplasties, stent placements, cardiac/neuro thrombectomies, coil embolization, filter placements, pacemaker/defibrillator device placements, Impella insertions, left and right heart catheterizations, Rotablader, TAVI/TAVR, ablations, cardiac mapping, cardioversions, conduction studies, and electrophysiology evaluations
Utilizes equipment including Philips single-plane/bi-plane, Inari, Pembra, Pounce, Impella, IABP, US CSI Shockwave, Rotoblade, IVUS (Boston, Philips), Carto Abbott, and X-Per
Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
On-call required every 4th day and one weekend per month
Weekend work required
Holiday coverage required for 2 major and 1 minor holidays

Requirements

Active LA or Compact RN license currently in hand
Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab/EP nursing experience required
Hands-on experience with the full range of cardiac and interventional procedures listed in the job details
Proficiency with Cath Lab equipment including Philips single-plane/bi-plane, Impella, IABP, IVUS, Carto Abbott, and related devices
A supervisor reference dated within the last 12 months is required for consideration
A copy of a valid Driver's License is required for consideration
Any employment gaps of more than 30 days must be listed and explained

Additional Information

First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
Former permanent employees of any LCMC facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered for a travel assignment
RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer for the duration of the contract
