Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position requiring at least 2 years of experience, ACLS/BLS certifications, and proficiency with a wide range of cardiac and interventional procedures and equipment.
Details
- Work in the Cath Lab department of a hospital setting
- Performs a broad range of cardiac and interventional procedures including Watchman procedures, balloon angioplasties, stent placements, cardiac/neuro thrombectomies, coil embolization, filter placements, pacemaker/defibrillator device placements, Impella insertions, left and right heart catheterizations, Rotablader, TAVI/TAVR, ablations, cardiac mapping, cardioversions, conduction studies, and electrophysiology evaluations
- Utilizes equipment including Philips single-plane/bi-plane, Inari, Pembra, Pounce, Impella, IABP, US CSI Shockwave, Rotoblade, IVUS (Boston, Philips), Carto Abbott, and X-Per
- Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- On-call required every 4th day and one weekend per month
- Weekend work required
- Holiday coverage required for 2 major and 1 minor holidays
Requirements
- Active LA or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab/EP nursing experience required
- Hands-on experience with the full range of cardiac and interventional procedures listed in the job details
- Proficiency with Cath Lab equipment including Philips single-plane/bi-plane, Impella, IABP, IVUS, Carto Abbott, and related devices
- A supervisor reference dated within the last 12 months is required for consideration
- A copy of a valid Driver's License is required for consideration
- Any employment gaps of more than 30 days must be listed and explained
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
- Former permanent employees of any LCMC facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered for a travel assignment
- RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer for the duration of the contract
