Description

American Traveler is seeking a Vascular Sonographer with RVT or RVS certification for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care teaching hospital.

Details

  • Works across 3 hospital sites within a vascular sonography department staffed by 7 full-time sonographers
  • Responsible for performing all vascular studies from open to close at assigned sites
  • Department writes preliminary reports for each study, which are reviewed and finalized by a vascular MD
  • 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, between 6:30 AM and 5:00 PM
  • Rotating call required with staff
  • Rotating weekend coverage required with staff
  • Must be available to work one holiday per 13-week contract in rotation with staff
  • Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

  • Current BLS required
  • RVT (ARDMS) or RVS (CCI) certification in Vascular Sonography required
  • Strong vascular sonography background with the ability to work independently from day one
  • License required if applicable
  • Must provide two professional references for consideration
  • PDF copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
  • Must reside outside the facility's radius requirement to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

  • Performs the full scope of vascular studies and authors complete preliminary reports reviewed by a vascular MD
  • Level I Trauma Center, Magnet-designated, certified stroke center with over 700 licensed beds
  • First-time travelers will be considered if the candidate has a strong vascular sonography background
  • Local candidates are not accepted for this position
  • All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application
