Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Critical Care Float Pool position at a Level I trauma center in Albany, NY, requiring prior travel experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Critical Care Float Pool position within a large academic medical center
• Float coverage required across multiple ICU environments, including Neuro/Trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, Progressive Critical Care Unit (PCCU), and ICU/PCC patients in the ED and PACU awaiting bed placement
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Epic EMR required

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• AHA or RQI certifications required (copies must be provided)
• Level I trauma center experience strongly preferred
• Experience floating across a variety of ICU settings highly desired
• US Social Security Number required
• Flu vaccine required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted — personal and religious exemptions are not accepted
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Competency testing is required and must be completed within 24 hours of consideration; candidates will receive the test via email and have 2 attempts to pass
• Navy blue scrubs are required
• Candidates residing in the following counties are not eligible: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be communicated upfront
• More than 3 call-outs in a 13-week contract period may result in termination; make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• Travel pairs are not accepted for this position
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
