Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level III Trauma acute care hospital, requiring ARRT (R) certification and experience in fluoroscopy and OR procedures.

Details

• Level III Trauma acute care hospital with 286 staffed beds
• Radiology department covering inpatient, outpatient, OR, ortho, fluoroscopy, and ER imaging needs
• Adult and/or pediatric patient population
• 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
• On-call rotation required, including weekend on-call coverage
• Floating within scope to OR, Ortho, Fluoro, Inpatient, Outpatient, and ER as needed
• Epic EMR (experience preferred)
• Free parking on-site

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of X-Ray Technologist experience
• ARRT (R) and SCRQSA certifications required
• BLS and CPR (AHA only) required
• Experience with fluoroscopy and OR procedures required
• Radiation dosimetry badge required — must be provided by the candidate's agency, as the facility does not supply badges to travelers
• SC state license required if applicable — candidates with a pending license may be considered, but must be active prior to start
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform radiographic procedures requiring sound understanding of anatomical positioning, physiology, and a high degree of technical competency with minimal supervision
• Apply ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis across a range of clinical settings
• Pre-assignment online modules are required and must be completed prior to start date
• Teal top and black bottom scrubs required
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Candidates who have previously worked as permanent staff or PRN at any facility within this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
• Non-local candidates are prioritized; local candidates (within 60 miles) may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• All requested time off must be disclosed at the time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs
• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak months are August and September
