Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract in Espanola, NM, requiring at least one prior travel assignment and a minimum of two years of large OR experience.
Details
- Position is based in a hospital Operating Room setting
- 10-hour day shifts with a 6:30 AM start time, 4 days per week, 40 hours per week
- Weekend and on-call availability required as needed
- Floating between departments or local locations within 20 miles is required
- Epic EMR is preferred but not required; on-site training available
- Ortho, EENT, and/or vascular experience is a plus
Requirements
- Active NM or Compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of current experience in a large OR required
- Must have completed at least one prior 13-week travel assignment
- ADN or ASN degree required
- BLS required, completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross
- ACLS and PALS preferred; if held, must be from an approved provider
- Must be able to scrub
- Must be adaptable, a team player, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Additional Information
- Delivers direct patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation
- Coordinates care in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Administers medications and treatments per physician orders or standard protocols
- Provides clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
- Former permanent employees of Presbyterian Health Services must have a one-year gap before being considered as a traveler
