Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Worcester, MA, requiring LDRP float pool experience and AWHONN certification at the intermediate level or above.
Details
- Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit
- True LDRP position — assignment includes floating between L&D and Postpartum (PP) as part of a maternity float pool
- Epic EMR used; experience required
- Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage required
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
- AWHONN certification at intermediate level or above required
- Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required; 3 years strongly preferred (2 years considered with travel experience)
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must be willing and able to float between L&D and Postpartum
- 2 professional references required for consideration, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher
- Candidates must have a clear nursing license with no prior disciplinary actions
Additional Information
- Two pass/fail exams are administered at orientation: a medication exam and a telemetry/EKG exam; each exam allows only one attempt, and a failed exam will result in immediate contract cancellation
- Study materials will be provided prior to orientation exams
- RTO (time off) requests are limited to 5 days or fewer for the duration of the assignment
- Local candidates are accepted; the same bill rate applies regardless of proximity
- Candidates must reside more than 200 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
