Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery (LDRP) travel position in Worcester, MA, requiring at least 2 years of experience and the ability to float between L&D and Postpartum.

Details

• LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum) unit within a hospital setting
• Assignment to a maternity float pool, with required floating between Labor & Delivery and Postpartum
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)
• 36 hours per week with every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• Epic EMR experience required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
• Intermediate level or above AWHONN fetal monitoring certification required
• Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required; 3 years strongly preferred (2 years may be considered with travel nursing experience)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must have a clean nursing license with no prior disciplinary history
• Two professional references required, at least one of which must be from a Nurse Manager or higher
• Must reside more than 200 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel pay rates

Additional Information

• Candidates must be prepared to float between Labor & Delivery and Postpartum, as this is a true LDRP float pool position
• Orientation includes two pass/fail exams — a medication exam and a telemetry/EKG exam — each with only one attempt allowed; failure results in immediate contract cancellation
• Study materials will be provided during the compliance process prior to orientation
• Local candidates are accepted at the same bill rate
• RTO (requested time off) is limited to 5 days or fewer for the duration of the contract
• First-time travelers with the required experience may be considered
