Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a General Surgical Floor position on a 28-bed unit with telemetry capability, requiring at least 1 year of experience and AHA BLS certification.

Details

• Work on a 28-bed general surgical floor (10E) in a hospital setting
• Adult general surgical patient population with telemetry capability
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Unit is supported by PCTs, a healthcare unit coordinator, virtual sitter monitoring, and monitor techs for telemetry patients
• Night shift: 18:30–07:00
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license (OK state or Compact) currently in hand
• BLS certification required (must be AHA-issued)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number and U.S. home address required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
• Skills checklist required for consideration

Additional Information

• Implements and monitors patient care plans, records and communicates patient condition, and carries out physician and nursing orders
• Serves as primary coordinator across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care
• Assesses and coordinates discharge planning needs in collaboration with the healthcare team
• COVID vaccination is not required for this position
