Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical/Ortho unit position requiring a minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg or telemetry experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Work in a Surgical/Ortho (WENZ) unit at a large academic medical center (500+ beds)
- Patient population includes pre- and post-operative surgical cases: orthopedic, ortho-spine, and trauma
- Dysrhythmia management is a component of patient care on this unit
- Epic EMR is used on this unit
- Day shift, 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required to similar units as needed
- Holiday coverage required as needed
- No on-call requirement
Requirements
- Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of current Med/Surg or telemetry nursing experience required
- Experience with dysrhythmia management required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience at a comparable facility size (500+ bed facility) required
- Active RN license and SSN/DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide pre- and post-operative bedside surgical nursing care with a focus on orthopedic, ortho-spine, and trauma patients
- Prior travel assignment experience (1–2 assignments) is preferred but not required
- Local candidates are welcome to apply at the same bill rate
