Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an OR (Circulating) position in a high-volume surgical unit requiring at least 2 years of circulating experience with a focus on orthopedics, neuro, and trauma cases, working weekend shifts only.

Details

• Located in the Surgery department on the 1st floor of an acute care hospital
• High-volume OR performing approximately 500 cases per month across orthopedics, neuro, GU, cardiac, endovascular, laparoscopic, and robotic (da Vinci) surgery
• 10-bed OR suite with a staff of approximately 50; day shift is staffed with 10 RNs and 10–14 scrub techs
• 1:1 patient ratio per OR room
• Two weekend shift options available: Friday/Saturday/Sunday 7a–7p or Saturday/Sunday/Monday 7a–7p
• Nurses must be able to independently run two rooms simultaneously on weekends
• Facility holds a trauma designation requiring in-house staffing coverage
• EMR: Meditech
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active MO RN license or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• Minimum 2 years of OR circulating experience required
• Strong emphasis on orthopedic, neuro, and trauma case experience
• Must be able to independently circulate ortho, neuro, da Vinci robotic, and trauma cases
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
• Two professional references required (per Missouri state requirement)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

• Responsibilities include independently circulating a wide variety of surgical cases including orthopedic, neuro, robotic (da Vinci), trauma, GU, cardiac, and endovascular procedures
• Must be prepared to manage two OR rooms simultaneously during weekend shifts
• Blue scrubs required
• 13-week contract
