Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position in Ventura County, CA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of PACU experience and ICU experience, with a CA RN license required.

Details

• PACU setting within an acute care hospital environment
• Adult patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• 4x10-hour variable day shifts between Monday and Friday, with shift start times ranging from 0800 to 0930
• 24 hours of weekend on-call duty per month
• One weekday on-call shift per week (Monday–Friday, 2300–0700)
• Floating required
• Weekend coverage required
• EMR: Cerner; also uses Pyxis and SBAR communication framework

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• Preferred certification: TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
• ICU experience required
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• All time-off requests must be submitted upfront at the time of initial consideration
