Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of CVICU experience and an active VA or Compact RN license.

Details

• CVICU (Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit) in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 7p–7a, with the option for either 3x12s or 4x12s per week
• Every other weekend required
• 13-week contract
• Charting via Epic EMR; required orientation class determined by level of prior Epic experience
• Float requirement includes the regular ICU (with possible COVID patient care), CV stepdown, and/or cardiac telemetry unit

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PDF copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Any requested RTO must be submitted upfront, as no RTO will be approved after an offer is made

Additional Information

• Provides critical care nursing to cardiovascular ICU patients, with potential to float to ICU, CV stepdown, and cardiac telemetry units
• Epic orientation class will be assigned based on prior Epic experience: an accelerated module (~4 hrs) for those with 6+ months of Epic use in the past 12 months, or a 2-day in-person class for those with less experience
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31); religious or medical exemptions must comply with CMS guidelines
