Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a day shift travel assignment at a 110-bed teaching hospital in Kennewick, WA, serving patients across all age groups including neonates.
Details
- Work in the Cardiopulmonary department covering ICU, Med/Surg, NICU, and ER floors
- 111-bed acute care teaching hospital with a Level II Trauma designation
- Patient population spans all ages, from neonates through adults
- Patient ratios vary by unit
- Equipment includes PB980, EV300, and Airvo
- Day shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend work required
- No on-call requirements
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Associate of Arts (AA) in Respiratory Therapy required
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
- Experience responding to codes across all age groups, neonate through adult, required
- ICU and NICU experience preferred
- Current certifications required: ACLS, PALS, NRP, and BLS (AHA certifications required)
- Active RRT license required if applicable
- Social Security number required for consideration
- Date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory therapy services across multiple units including ICU, Med/Surg, NICU, and ER
- Services at this facility include ED, Family Medicine, Ortho/Joint Replacements, OB/GYN, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Urgent Care, Lab, and Diagnostic Imaging
- Any color scrubs are acceptable; scrubs are required
- Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
- New employee orientation (NEO) is held on a bi-monthly schedule

This Cath Lab is only travelers at the moment and has locum doctors on rotation. Some days are very slow but there is also a couple IR doctors who does some easy procedures.

On call is currently 7 consecutive days on then you get 4 days off before going back on due to number of staff present.
