Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room/Surgery position at an Ambulatory Surgery Center in San Antonio, TX, requiring OR circulating experience across multiple surgical specialties.
Details
- Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) setting in San Antonio, TX
- Circulating OR nurse role covering ENT, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, GYN, and Plastic Surgery specialties
- Monday through Friday schedule, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM; daily schedule may vary based on case start times
- 13-week contract
- 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS (AHA only) and ACLS (AHA only) certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of OR/surgical nursing experience required
- Experience circulating surgical cases in ENT, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, GYN, and Plastic Surgery required
- BSN preferred
- US Social Security Number required for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Active, unexpired copies of all certifications required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provides nursing care using the full nursing process — assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation — for assigned surgical patients
- Administers medications and treatments per protocol and monitors for side effects and effectiveness
- Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
- Assesses and addresses patient and family education needs, including psychological, emotional, cultural, and social factors
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
