Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position in Southeast Alaska, requiring an active Alaska RN license and a minimum of 3 years of OR experience.

• Located within a hospital Operating Room in Southeast Alaska
• Handles a wide variety of elective and emergency surgical cases, including abdominal, thoracic, urology, ENT, plastic, orthopedics, vascular, and OB/GYN
• Full-time schedule of four 10-hour shifts, Tuesday through Friday
• On-call responsibilities required for nights, holidays, and weekends
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska required at time of consideration
• Minimum 3 years of OR experience required
• Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN, ADN, or Diploma)
• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience in a Critical Access Hospital and/or rural OR setting strongly preferred
• Flu vaccine required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include scrubbing and circulating a broad range of elective and emergency surgical cases while ensuring cases proceed efficiently throughout the day
• After-hours call services are utilized to staff the OR for nights, holidays, and weekends
• Fingerprint card processing is required prior to start; candidates should be prepared to schedule a fingerprint appointment promptly upon acceptance to avoid start date delays
• DOB and SSN may be required for consideration
