Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level III Trauma Center in Florence, AL, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ER or critical care experience and an AL or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 37-bed Emergency Department, including 4 Trauma Bays, 7 Fast Track Rooms, and 26 general beds
• Level III Trauma Center treating all patient populations from pediatric to geriatric
• Patient ratios of 1:3 to 1:4
• Day/evening shift: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Float to the Overflow unit may be required
• EMR: MediTech
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active AL or compact RN license required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of ER or critical care experience required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Weekly orientation sessions are held on Mondays
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
