Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a night shift travel contract requiring general OR and trauma experience, with both MO/KS or compact licensure in hand.
Details
- Operating Room (OR) setting within a hospital environment
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Rotating weekend shifts as determined by the department
- On-call required: 1–2 weekdays per week and 2 weekends per 13-week period
- Regular floating between departments, units, and facilities may be required
- 26-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license in both Kansas and Missouri, or a compact license, must be in hand prior to consideration
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR specialty experience required
- At least 1 full year of in-specialty experience within the past 12 months, with no employment gap greater than 90 days in the past year
- General OR and trauma experience required
- 2 professional references required: one must be supervisor-level or above, the second may be a charge RN; both must be from someone who has worked with the candidate within the past year
- SSN must be provided for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of the facility are not accepted
- RTO is capped at 7 days for the duration of the contract
- Block scheduling is not available for this position
- Compliance modules are required and typically completed prior to the start date, and annually thereafter
- Travel partners are not accepted for this assignment
- Pending licenses are accepted
