Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a Critical Access Hospital, requiring 2 years of OR experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Critical Access Hospital with 22 total staff beds
• Operating Room setting covering all areas of the surgery department: Pre/Post-Op, Circulating, PACU, and Endoscopy
• Specialties include OB/GYN, Orthopedics, GI/General Surgery, ENT, Pain, and Dental
• Patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:4 depending on area and case
• Primary schedule is 5x8-hour day shifts (6:00–15:00), with potential for 4x10-hour days
• On-call required: variable call on weekends and nights, approximately 8 shifts per month
• Every 3rd or 4th weekend required depending on rotation and time-off requests
• EMR: Epic (experience required)
• OR scrubs provided; any scrub color accepted
• No parking fee

Requirements

• Active MT or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Minimal RTO is strongly preferred; requests should be disclosed upfront as post-offer changes may be denied
• 13-week contract (48-hour shifts not approved)
