Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU/PCU position at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital in California, requiring ACLS, BLS, NIH, and LA Fire Card certifications with night shift availability.

Details

• ICU/PCU unit within a 377-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within skillset, including between facilities within the state
• No on-call requirements
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• Free parking available on-site
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required (pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU/PCU nursing experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and LA Fire Card
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Active professional license at time of consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application — requests made after submission or offer may be denied
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable; L&D and OR scrubs are provided
• Refusal to float between facilities may result in assignment termination
