Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Minnesota, requiring a MN RN license and current NRP certification with day and night shift availability.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• Cares for maternal and newborn patients, including neonatal, adolescent, and adult populations
• Day shift: 7:00–19:00 and night shift: 19:00–7:00, 3x12-hour shifts; 4x12 scheduling also available
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MN RN license in good standing required
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NRP, and Basic Electronic Fetal Monitoring
• Workplace Violence education required
• 2–5 years of L&D experience preferred
• STABLE certification preferred
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides direct nursing care including medication administration, IV/venipuncture, blood product administration, and sterile dressing changes
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Provides age-specific and developmentally appropriate care for neonatal, adolescent, and adult patients
• Delivers and documents patient and family education based on diagnosis and treatment plan
• Delegates and supervises support personnel in executing the patient care plan
