Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg (Adult) Night Shift position in Vermont, requiring a minimum of 3 years of acute care experience and a VT or compact RN license.

Details

• General Med/Surg unit at a 25-bed critical access hospital in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom
• Primarily adult patient population with occasional pediatric patients
• Provides medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing bed, and pediatric care
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hrs/week)
• Every other weekend required
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active VT RN license or compact multi-state RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS (American Heart Association) and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of acute care experience required
• Flu shot required — no exceptions

Additional Information

• Coordinate comprehensive patient care for adult and occasionally pediatric patients using the Nursing Process
• Works closely with the Clinical Nurse Lead and/or Nursing Supervisor during each shift under the accountability of the Unit Director
• Holistic care approach addressing patients' physiological, spiritual, psychosocial, and developmental needs
• This is not a dedicated pediatric floor — candidates with pediatric-only experience will not be considered
• DOB and SSN may be required for consideration
• Travelers begin on Wednesdays
