Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position at a Level II trauma facility in Winchester, TN, requiring a TN or compact RN license and at least 2 years of Med/Surg experience.

Details

• Medical Surgical unit (44 beds) at a 198-bed acute and skilled care facility designated as a Level II trauma center
• Serves a mixed patient population including all age groups
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• 13-week contract
• Call requirements exist on an as-needed basis; if called in, must arrive at the facility within 30–60 minutes
• Floating required on an as-needed basis
• EMR: Meditech

Requirements

• Active RN license valid in Tennessee (TN state license or compact license) required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and HWC — all AHA-certified and must be obtained prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate

Additional Information

• Comprehensive acute care facility featuring a 10-bed ICU, 12-bed Geriatric Psychiatry Unit, 12-bed Acute Inpatient Physical Rehabilitation Unit, Cardiac Cath Lab, five OR Suites, two Endoscopy Suites, and a 13-bay Emergency Room
• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable; no casual wear or hoodies permitted
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
