Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position at an acute care hospital, requiring ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications with a minimum of 1 year of experience.

Details

Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a 255-bed acute care hospital
Patient population includes acutely ill adults with cardiac, neuro, renal, infectious disease, pulmonary, and other complex medical conditions
Patient ratio of 1:5
Charting performed in Meditech
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 PM – 7:15 AM
Required to work every other Saturday; Sundays off
Free parking available in any unrestricted space

Requirements

Active RN license — VA state or Compact license currently in hand
Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
PCU or telemetry nursing experience required

Additional Information

Responsibilities include coordination of direct patient care and patient education
Scrub color required: black or Caribbean blue
Local candidates are not accepted — permanent address must be 50+ miles from the facility
