Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray for a 13-week travel contract in a large hospital radiology department, requiring at least 18 months of experience and comfort working independently in an OR setting.
Details
- Hospital-based radiology department within a 900-bed acute care facility
- Procedures performed in both standard radiology and OR settings
- Experience with GE imaging equipment is required
- Epic EMR used for charting
- 3x10 hour day shifts, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- No on-call required
- 30 hours per week
- May float to a nearby sister hospital
Requirements
- Minimum of 18 months of experience as an X-Ray Technologist
- Graduate of an accredited Radiography program
- Active NJ State RT License required (license required if applicable)
- Current ARRT certification
- Current BLS certification
- Experience with GE imaging equipment
- Must be comfortable working in the OR
- Must be able to work independently in a high-volume facility
- Proficiency with Epic EMR
- Demonstrated knowledge of imaging equipment setup, utilization, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform imaging procedures in accordance with state, federal, and professional guidelines
- Assess and maintain patient safety, comfort, and physiological well-being throughout procedures
- Monitor for procedure revisions and coordinate daily imaging workflow
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
- Travelers who have reached one year of continuous assignment at this facility must take a required break before returning
