Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a Radiology position requiring 2-3 years of ultrasound scanning experience and ARDMS or ARRT certification.
Details
- Outpatient radiology setting located in Foxborough, MA
- Performs diagnostic ultrasound exams across multiple patient populations
- Works collaboratively with radiologists, sonographers, and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and optimal scanner utilization
- Day shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- On-call, holiday, and shift rotation coverage required
- May be required to rotate among main campus and community locations with appropriate training
- EMR: Epic
Requirements
- Minimum of 2-3 years of ultrasound scanning experience with multiple patient populations preferred
- Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography required, or equivalent Certificate/Diploma in Diagnostic Imaging; Associate's Degree in Diagnostic Imaging preferred
- ARDMS certification preferred; ARRT (Sonography) certification preferred
- Active MA state license required; MA Conditional Licenses not accepted — license required if applicable
- BLS certification required (AHA only)
- Proficiency with PACS, EHR/reporting systems, and hospital information systems
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted
Additional Information
- Operates ultrasound imaging equipment to acquire diagnostic images and communicates sonographer impressions to interpreting physicians
- Performs patient and exam verification using two points of identification prior to each scan
- Participates in quality assurance, quality improvement, and departmental research programs
- May oversee, instruct, and mentor sonography students and professional staff on equipment operation and protocols
- Local candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to a reduced pay rate
- Parking is not validated at Boston-area locations; public transportation and paid public parking lots are available nearby
